Phase I:
BIAP Phase I consists of three virtual workshops focused on introducing customer discovery and the Business Model Canvas.
Opening Workshop (2 hours)
Introduction to the program and teams, overview of the Business Model Canvas, customer segments, value proposition, problem–solution fit, and best practices for customer discovery interviews.
Mid-Point Check-In Workshop (1 hour)
Review of customer discovery interviews and key findings, with feedback and guidance on next steps.
Closing Workshop (2 hours)
Team presentations on lessons learned, followed by discussion of next steps and additional resources.
Phase II:
BIAP Phase II is a more intensive, application-focused program designed to prepare teams for commercialization.
Pre-Opening Workshop (1 hour)
Program overview, interview preparation, and logistics and tools walkthrough.
Opening Workshop (2 hours)
Team introductions; in-depth customer discovery and customer development; Business Model Canvas overview; customer segments and types; ecosystems; value proposition; and problem–solution and product–market fit.
Weekly Session 1 (2 hours)
Team update presentations and instructor feedback; focus on the right side of the Business Model Canvas and communicating your story.
Weekly Session 2 (2 hours)
Team update presentations and instructor feedback; focus on the left side of the Business Model Canvas and final presentation preparation.
Closing Workshop (2 hours)
Final team presentations and discussion of next steps and additional commercialization resources.
